A new checkpoint “Nur Zholy” is planned to open on September 27, in the area of activity of the Almaty region, reported correspondent of Tengrinews.kz with reference to press service of Department of state revenue in the region.

As noted by the deputy head of department Syrym Dynbaev, opening a new checkpoint “Nur Zholy” (RK) – “Horgos” (PRC) will allow to solve assigned tasks on development of transit potential of Kazakhstan which will lead to effective management of transport flows, to development of infrastructure and to create a favorable conditions for business.

Structure of general layout of complex provides for the movement of 2.5 thousand vehicles and 15 thousand individuals in the working day in both directions, including cargo vehicles -2 200 units, passenger vehicles (buses and cars) – 300 units.

“Opening of such point is historical for customs service of Kazakhstan. Firstly, in history Kazakh specialists applied automatic system of management of logistics in checkpoint which integrated with the customs authorities “Astana-1”. It will allow to carry out priority tasks for the accelerated movement of goods across the border and to provide safety of world trade chains”, – says in message.

The press service added that due to the opening of the checkpoint “Nur Zholy”, the movement of goods and vehicles through the checkpoint “Zharkent” of the customs post “Altynkol” (RK) – “Khorgos” (China) will be suspended from September 25. The construction of the Nur Zholy customs post was implemented on the principles of a public-private partnership by the Eurotransit-Terminal limited liability partnership on the basis of an agreement concluded on December 26, 2017 between the partnership, the MID of the RK and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The total area of ​​the TP “Nur Zholy” is: the territory of the checkpoint – 25.59 hectares, the territory of the transport and logistics center – 23.58 hectares.
